Sara’s journey in dentistry started in 2003 at a small dental office in Goleta, CA. She quickly discovered her knack for all things dental and by 2006, she found her true calling in dental billing. In 2013, she and Dennis launched SD Reliance, (now SD Dental Solutions!), where she’s been rocking the world of dental billing and finances ever since.
Sara’s superpowers? Financial system development, forensic auditing, and dental practice sales and transitions. She’s a master at building efficient financial systems, ensuring every penny counts, and helping practices smoothly transition ownership. With a laser focus on detail, she turns complex financial chaos into calm, and her forensic auditing skills mean no mystery goes unsolved on her watch.
Sara’s all about rolling up her sleeves and getting things done. Her approach? A mix of hard work, unshakable integrity, and staying on top of the details. She tackles the toughest tasks first, guided by her (and Mark Twain’s) motto, “Eat the frog.” Throw in a big helping of positivity, a strong set of ethical standards, and her love for exclamation points, and you’ve got a winning formula that keeps clients for years and years.
When she’s not crunching numbers, Sara is all about living life to the fullest. She named her daughters, Penny and Abbey, after Beatles musical references and she’s always ready for the next adventure with her husband Matt. Whether it’s coffee-fueled runs, horror movie marathons, getting spontaneous tattoos, or hopping on a plane to a random destination, Sara’s got a zest for life that matches her passion for her work.
Dennis has been an entrepreneur his entire life. He’s been hustling since his teenage years when he launched his first successful business alongside his father, Dennis Sr. With a lifelong passion for all things tech, he’s turned his love for gadgets and problem-solving into a career as an IT guru for dental practices. Since co-founding SD Reliance with Sara in 2013, Dennis has made it his mission to help dental offices stay ahead of the curve in today’s fast-paced tech world.
From upgrading hardware and software systems to making sure every digital tool is cutting-edge, Dennis knows that modern dental practices need tech that works as hard as they do. Whether it’s seamlessly integrating practice management software or boosting cybersecurity to keep patient data safe, Dennis is the go-to guy for tech transformations. He’s all about making the process smooth, so your day-to-day runs like a well-oiled machine, with no tech hiccups slowing you down.
But it’s not just about the tech—Dennis is known for his friendly, hands-on approach. He’s a face-to-face kind of guy, and he loves building relationships with clients, figuring out their unique challenges, and delivering solutions that work.
When he’s not immersed in the world of IT, Dennis is all about family time with his wife, Sara (but not his partner Sara – they know, it’s confusing!). He’s a proud dad and coaches his son’s baseball team, keeping the energy high both on and off the field. Faith is a big part of Dennis’ life, shaping both his personal and professional values. And when he’s not troubleshooting or coaching, you’ll probably find him staying active and enjoying a good workout before the sun is up.
LaRae is the driving force behind the seamless operations at SD Dental Solutions. Her specialty? Blending creativity with flawless coordination to ensure everything runs smoothly. Whether she’s implementing company-wide strategies or overseeing the day-to-day flow of operations, LaRae’s eye for detail and her ability to juggle multiple projects at once make her a brilliant part of the team. Her creativity and problem-solving skills allow her to approach challenges from fresh angles, coming up with innovative solutions that keep the business efficient and forward-moving. (She’s magical.)
Beyond her creative talents, LaRae is a powerhouse of skills that make her the ultimate operations manager. She has sharp communication abilities, which enable her to work effectively with everyone—from clients to team members—ensuring everyone’s on the same page. Her critical thinking and analytical skills make her an incredible problem solver, able to tackle complex issues with ease. LaRae is known for being a straight shooter, bringing honesty and ethics to every decision. With a strong sense of teamwork, she’s not only dependable but also a joy to work with, leading the team with openness and positivity.
When LaRae first joined SD Reliance in 2015, she didn’t have any dental background, but she quickly became one of the team’s most reliable and valued members. In 2016, LaRae’s Air Force husband and her family were deployed to Ramstein, Germany, leaving a LaRae-shaped spot in the company and our hearts. Thankfully, fate brought her back to the U.S., and we are beyond lucky to have her leading operations again.
LaRae has a serious case of wanderlust and took full advantage of her time in Europe, visiting cities all over the continent. While she can’t pick a favorite, she’ll narrow it down to Amsterdam, Malaga, Kilkenny, or London (with the occasional day trip to Paris, of course!). When she’s not jet-setting, LaRae loves spending time with her husband, Kyle, and her two kids, Ashlyn and Hayden. She’s also a crafting queen and highly skilled at sewing… honestly, we’re all kind of mad at how amazing she is. Don’t tell her and make it weird, though.
Leah has been leading the billing department at SD Dental Solutions since August 2022, and she’s been a rockstar ever since. With a blend of patience, dedication to learning, and a strong work ethic, Leah has mastered the art of dental billing while keeping things fun and organized. She’s an incredible communicator, always dependable, and a total people person, making her both a phenomenal manager and a joy with whom to work.
Outside of the office, Leah’s creativity shines. A crafting enthusiast and sewing extraordinaire, she’s a fantastic seamstress who can whip up just about anything. She’s also a proud mom of two amazing kids and has been married to her active-duty Air Force husband for nearly 14 years.
When Leah is not watching her favorite shows (specifically, period pieces with a fantasy twist!), you’ll find her avoiding the great outdoors in favor of flea market treasure hunts or cooking up a storm. Southern/Cajun and Asian cuisines are her specialties, and she’s a true pro in the kitchen.
But don’t let her love for cooking distract you—Leah is all about Halloween and Christmas. She’s so dedicated to the holidays that her spooky and festive celebrations start months in advance, with movies, decorations, and Christmas music filling her home long before the season hits.
And for a fun fact: Leah works in a hallway, and we support and love her.
Anna Brewer is the Insurance Verification Manager at SD Dental Solutions, and she’s been part of the team since the department first launched in 2020—with a few fun “on and off” breaks in between! In fact, Anna’s career has been as diverse as her life as a military wife, which took her all over the U.S. and even internationally. Her journey has seen her wearing many hats, from stay-at-home mom to Shipping Director, long-term substitute teacher, and middle school soccer coach. While stationed overseas, Anna managed a physical fitness program for a military base, and back in North Carolina, she organized the first Vacation Bible School at her church, welcoming hundreds of kids.
When it comes to work, Anna is all about jumping in headfirst. She thrives on problem-solving, loving nothing more than spotting potential issues, brainstorming solutions, and putting those plans into action before things escalate. Her proactive approach makes her an essential part of the SD Dental Solutions team, always staying one step ahead to keep everything running smoothly.
Outside the office, Anna’s love for adventure and the great outdoors keeps her busy. The beach is her happy place, but she’s equally at home in the mountains—she’s even summited Mount St. Helens! Anna’s adventurous spirit doesn’t stop there; she’s also gone scuba diving in some incredible spots around the world.
Whether she’s troubleshooting at work or exploring the outdoors, Anna brings a passion for life and a can-do attitude to everything she does. SD Dental Solutions is beyond lucky to have her on our team.
Jessica Von Rembow is the ultimate go-to person for clients at SD Dental Solutions. As the Client Liaison, she’s all about building relationships, ensuring clients are happy and heard, and making sure their questions are answered and their concerns addressed. She’s a master at gathering feedback and turning it into actionable strategies that keep SD Dental Solutions at the top of its game. Jessica also loves collaborating with internal teams to solve problems and come up with creative solutions. Always expanding her knowledge of the dental industry, she’s constantly finding new ways to offer even more value to clients.
With almost 15 years of experience in the dental field, Jessica’s seen it all. She’s worked in both general and specialty dentistry, spending six years focusing on Endodontics. Her background in practice management and consulting has given her a deep understanding of practice solutions, transitions, and special projects—making her a true asset to the team. Jessica’s unique blend of expertise allows her to provide clients with the guidance they need to navigate the complexities of the dental world.
Jessica’s leadership style is a mix of servant leadership, situational leadership, and transformational leadership. She knows how to adapt to any situation while inspiring those around her. She’s dedicated to empowering others, whether she’s working with clients or collaborating with her team, and her positive, can-do attitude is contagious.
Born and raised in Sacramento, Jessica loves soaking up life outside of work. You can find her paddleboarding, cooking up a storm in the kitchen, or hitting the Pilates mat. Her husband, two kids, and dogs are always by her side, whether she’s adventuring or relaxing at home. With a love for travel, Jessica is always ready for her next adventure. Jessica brings so much positivity and energy to the team—we’re lucky to have her as part of our crew!
Spencer’s love affair with computers started early—at age 15, he was already building his own rigs to power his gaming sessions. A former semi-professional Counter-Strike player for three years, he turned his passion for gaming into a full-fledged love for fixing and optimizing technology. After earning his Network+ certification, Spencer landed a role at SD Reliance and began his professional IT career, quickly becoming an invaluable part of our team in ensuring dental offices run smoothly behind the scenes.
In his role as Technical Alignment Manager, Spencer keeps a keen eye on the ever-changing IT landscape. His mission? To stay one step ahead of tech challenges, continually growing his knowledge and skillset to ensure clients’ systems are always up-to-date and running like a well-oiled machine. Whether it’s troubleshooting issues or implementing new technology, Spencer’s focus is always on keeping customers happy and their technology healthy.
Spencer’s got a knack for making IT accessible and keeping things running smoothly, but he’s also known for his clear communication and customer-centric approach. He’s passionate about creating seamless, stress-free experiences for clients, making sure their tech does exactly what it’s supposed to—and then some.
Outside of work, Spencer is a huge baseball and basketball fan. His family has been loyal St. Louis Cardinals fans for over 100 years, and that team spirit runs deep! Whether he’s catching a game or spending time with friends and family, Spencer brings the same energy and passion to his personal life as he does to his career.
